School Holiday Fun 

Out and about School holiday fun is coming to Roma Street Parkland

From Monday 19 September to Friday 23 September Roma Street Parkland will be holding Out and about School Holiday Fun in partnership with Queensland Rail.

Bring the kids and let them burn of some energy at active and creative workshops including Gardening activities, Hip hop dancing and Drama fun from the School of Creative Arts, University of Southern Queensland.

All workshops are free of charge and require registration on the day.

Class sizes are limited. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, water and picnic lunch. Children participating in the gardening classes must wear closed in shoes. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Enjoy fun activities including include face painting, balloon art, Barnyard Babies, Wildcall Wildlife Show, jumping castle and guided walks. Also enjoy a ride on the Parkland Explorer, the Parkland’s trackless train.

 Activities are free of charge with a valid Translink ticket or go card or make a gold coin donation to the Cerebral Palsy League who will be on site running a sausage sizzle.

A full program and map of event will be available closer to the event.

Catch and release fishing

Catch and release fishing is back on Saturday 24 September. This popular day teaches kids about fishing and gives them the chance to enjoy the thrill of the big catch first hand.

This activity is free of charge and is open for children aged 8 to 12 years. Places are limited and must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. Bookings will be taken from 12 September, contact the Parkland Administration Office on 3006 4545 to secure your place.
