The Roma Street Parkland environment offers some wonderful educational experiences for both children and adults that will encourage learning in a number of different ways.
The Parkland setting gives students and teachers the opportunity for a hands on interaction with nature. Students can observe the effects of changing seasons, see subtropical plants in a forest setting and look out for resident wildlife. The Parkland also provides a stimulating location for art classes, horticultural and environmental studies.
The Parkland offers groups the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities including guided walks, school holiday programs and informative presentations with a horticultural focus that can be held on or off site.
The School Holiday Fun program is designed for children 4 to 12 years but often caters for the whole family. To find out about upcoming school holiday activities, visit the School Holiday fun page.
Vacation care and school groups of 6 or more students are strongly encouraged to arrive early for the school holiday program with bookings required for the free guided walks.
